Artist Statement:
Thursday Saturday is an exploration of native flora, sustainability, and identity. Elsa, the creator, is a queer botanist and aims to share a little joy through their craft.
I take vintage clothing and textile scraps to create one of a kind wearable botanical art by using plants (mostly native grown in my yard) and using an alternative photography process called cyanotype as well as sewing.
