Succulent Scents
Artist Statement:
I grew up in a small town outside of Moab called Castle Valley. I moved to SLC area when I was 19. I have always loved candles, but in recent years really discover how toxic candles from big box stores can be, so I decide to start making my own. I combined my love of plants and candles to create Succulent Scents. Each of my candles is made to look like a cactus or succulent in a cement planter. They are made with hand poured soy wax and clean scents. Meaning they are free of phosphates, acute toxins, reproductive toxins, organ toxins, and carcinogens. I hand make all my cement vessels and seal them with a water based, food safe sealer. Once your candle is gone I encourage you to clean out the remaining wax residue, pop out the wick, fill it with your favorite soil, and use it for a live plant of your choice!
