Artist Statement:
Art is and always has been my escape, so when I lost my mother to cancer in 2022, I hid in a world of bright painted flowers. My work is about grief and pain but also light and love through darkness. Beautiful things have light and dark and finding that balance is forever fascinating to me.
I’m originally from Oceanside, CA but I’ve lived in Salt Lake since 2009 (with a brief interlude in Michigan). I have two mostly feral boys, a crazy dog and a very patient husband.
